Helpful Tips

  1. Replace or Clean your filter on a regular basis. (approx. once a month.)
  2. Set your  thermostat back 8 degrees when no one is home. (+8 degrees in the summer and -8 degrees in the winter.)
  3. Set the thermostat at 69 degrees in heating and 78 degrees in cooling. ( + or - 2 degrees for comfort.)
  4. Turn the thermostat off when leaving for more than a day.
  5. If your equipment does not work, check your fuses and/or breakers before calling us.

Heating Season


  1. If you have an older gas furnace (10 year old or more), it is recommend that you purchase a carbon monoxide alarm as a safety precaution.
  2. Many older furnaces have a pilot light assembly. If your furnace does, make sure that it is lit.
  3. Make sure that the flue pipe is in good condition, sealed and unobstructed.
  4. Do not store flammables close to your furnace or hot water heater.
  5. For your own safety, If you encounter problems with your furnace, do not attempt to repair it yourself. Call G&A Refrigeration. We will be happy to dispatch a qualified service technician to your home or business. (7 days a week, 24 hours a day.)
